Our client is looking for a conract Nuclear Remote Planning Supervisor to join their team. In this role you wouldoversee and coordinate activities related to nuclear projects.
Responsisibilties:
- Planning and Coordination: Developing and implementing strategic plans for nuclear remediation projects, including setting project goals, timelines, and budgets. Coordinating with various stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure effective collaboration and adherence to project requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. This involves assessing the radiological risks associated with the contaminated site, determining the potential pathways of exposure, and evaluating the potential impact on human health and the environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant nuclear safety regulations, guidelines, and protocols. This includes keeping up-to-date with changes in regulations and working closely with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for remediation activities.
- Remote Operations: Overseeing remote operations and monitoring systems for nuclear remediation projects. This may involve utilizing advanced technologies, such as robotics, drones, and remote sensing, to perform tasks safely and efficiently in hazardous environments.
- Team Management: Leading and managing a team of professionals involved in nuclear remediation projects. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, conducting performance evaluations, and promoting a safe working environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of all activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. This includes maintaining detailed records of remediation procedures, radiological monitoring results, and progress reports for regulatory and stakeholder communication.
- Health and Safety: Prioritizing health and safety protocols for all personnel involved in nuclear remediation projects. Implementing strict safety measures, providing training on radiation protection, and ensuring compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of data collected during remediation activities. This includes performing regular audits, verifying data integrity, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and public interest groups. Providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and maintaining transparency throughout the remediation process.
